How this site handles your data. Short version: the calculator stays in your browser; we only collect your email if you ask us to.
Note: This is a plain-language summary of how the site handles your data, not legal advice. If you have questions, use our contact form.
What we collect
- The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your usage, rate, and selections are saved only in your browser's local storage, so we can resume your session next time you visit. Nothing leaves your device unless you send it to us.
- If you ask us to email your results as a PDF, we store the email address you enter and the calculator inputs you chose to save. These are kept in a private file in our cloud storage (Amazon S3) so we can follow up. We do not sell them or share them with advertisers.
- If you use the contact form, your name, email, and message are emailed to the site operator so we can reply. Replies come from an operator mailbox.
- We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count visitors and see how people move through the site's pages. It is not tied to your identity.
How long we keep it
We keep saved emails and inputs only as long as they are useful for follow-up and record-keeping, and we remove them on request. To have your information deleted, use the contact form.
Changes
If we add partnerships, referral links, or other monetization, this page will be updated and the homepage will disclose the change at the same time. That's a commitment, not boilerplate.
